A Team of Experts
We are fitness people. We have all worked in gyms for most of our lives and want to make a difference for you and your members.
NRG Fitness is manned by fitness people. RJ and Aaron are avid gym goers and when you meet them you will instantly know that they understand gym equipment. RJ is on the road meeting operators all over New Zealand and we truly believe that a face-to-face meeting is the best way to find out what you need. Aaron has joined NRG Fitness as our Auckland based service technician and is always ready to help. Reece primarily spends his time in our Auckland-based office where he also operates Gym Consultants — providing advice and support to operators across New Zealand and Australia. We now also have Sarah looking after all the business operations from the office which frees up more time for our clients. We are a small team and you know that when you speak with one of us, you’ll be talking directly to a decision maker.
Reece Zondag
Reece has been involved in the fitness industry for more than 30 years and was formally the CEO of Les Mills New Zealand. As a club operator he is acutely aware of the equipment demands of gyms in New Zealand.
“From my experience I wanted equipment that will give gym members great results, require little or no maintenance and be great value for money – that’s why we have selected what we believe is some of the best equipment from around the world available now in New Zealand.”
RJ Datt
RJ has been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 8 years. He has worked for multiple companies growing his knowledge of equipment in the ever-growing fitness industry.
RJ’s interest in fitness began in the college gym and he never looked back. He recently began his bodybuilding career competing and gaining titles on the National level.
“The research and development behind Matrix made it the perfect match for me. As a regular gym member myself it was important that the equipment I worked with was that of quality, longevity and overall user friendly. To me fitness is not just a job, it’s my passion.”
November 2017
It is with deep sorrow and a hugely heavy heart that we share the news that Rob has passed away after a courageous battle with cancer for the last 6 or so months.
There is no doubt that without Rob, NRG Fitness would simply never have existed. Rob was one of the good guys and should never have left us so young.
No words can adequately express our sadness at Rob’s death or our gratitude for the opportunity to work with him.
